Wanda Bolen Ing, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 19, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to John G. and Ethel Kitchen Bolen.
Wanda was employed at the Florsheim Shoe Co. factory for 42 years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Cape Girardeau. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her "Choo-Choo."
Survivors include a son, John Ted (Ricki) Ing of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Amanda (Leon) Sides and Jeff Ing of Cape Girardeau; three great-grandchildren, Cody Ing, Teddy Sides and Blake Sides; a brother, Jess (Mary) Bolen of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Geneva Bolen, Shirley (Ronnie) Lohman and Karen Lewis, all of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, who were all very special to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
