Wanda Hope, 82, of Cape Gir-ardeau, formerly of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Sedgewickville, daughter of the late Ernest and Grace Bollinger Killian. She and Harold Hope were married Aug. 9, 1947. He passed away Dec. 31, 1998.

Wanda worked for Cape County Abstract Co. in Cape Girardeau 35 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson and its Perdue-Lear Circle. She has been a resident of the Lutheran Home for nine years.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Susan (Glen) Bennett of High Ridge, Mo., Linda (Danny) Brown of Jackson; three grandchildren, Kyle (Susan) Brown of Phoenix, Ariz., Shana (John) Wondel and their daughter, Katy, of Jackson, Rebecca Maynard and her children Aadan and Yasmine Maynard of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Interment will follow in Apple Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery at Pocahontas.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the Alzheimer's Unit at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
