SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wanda Dean Harris, 66, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 29, 1937, in Arkansas, daughter of J.B. and Alberta Gipson Johnson. She and Eugene Harris were married in 1982.

Harris was a member of New Morning Star Church in Haywood City, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, the Rev. Donald Gipson of Sikeston, Roger Gipson of St. Louis, Damon Gipson of Rockford, Ill.; six daughters, Lillie Banks, Laverne Gipson and Makesha Gipson, all of Sikeston, Rose Gipson and Freeda Gipson of Haywood City, Shara Flagg of Decatur, Ill.; her mother of Decatur; three brothers, Robert Gipson of Sikeston, Joe and Tommy Gipson of Decatur; three sisters, Julia Terrell of Chicago, Atter Clark of Decatur, Dorothy Jean of Michigan; 34 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, her father, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Green Memorial Church in Sikeston from noon to service time Saturday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Revs. Alex Sims and Donald Gipson officiating. Burial will be in New Morning Star Cemetery at Haywood City.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Oran, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
