Wanda Fitzpatrick, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 17, 1922, in Canalou Mo., daughter of Lester Hugh and Florence Emma Robinson Poe.
She worked for the catalog department of Sears in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and treasurer of the Joy Club there. She was also a member of Bethany Baptist Sewing Ladies and served on the Benevolence Committee. She was a member of the local chapter of the DAR.
She and Cecil A. Fitzpatrick were married in 1940 at Benton, Mo.; he died Nov. 22, 1987.
Survivors include her mother, Florence Emma Robinson of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Lynn and Jon Fitzpatrick, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Cecile Busch of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Evelyn Delbridge of Edwardsville, Ill, Vivian Jackson of Cape Girardeau, Peggy Laird of Valparaiso, Ind.; and a grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
