BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Wanda Darlene Busby of Bloomfield will be held at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Doyle Corlew will officiate, with burial in Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
Busby, 47, died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 22, 1948, in Granite City, Ill., daughter of Joseph and Edith Cowins Hicks. She and Melvin Jerry Busby were married Dec. 29, 1984.
Survivors include her husband; her parents of Essex; two stepsons, Alan Busby of Bernie, Joey Busby of Dexter; two stepdaughters, Carrie Elles of Bernie, Kimberly Busby of Dexter; six brothers, Harold Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Clifford "Eddie" Hicks of Dexter, Fred Hicks of Fruitland, Mike Hicks of Fairmont, Minn., Mark Hicks of Poplar Bluff, Gary Hicks of Jackson; two sisters, Phyllis Lemons and Freda Cox of Dexter, and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by infant twins.
