JACKSON -- Walter W. Blumenberg, 96, of Jackson, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 1, 1894, at Allenville, son of Louis and Mary Herzog Blumenberg. He and Alta Kinder were married Oct. 18, 1922, at Jackson.

Blumenberg had farmed and owned a store at Whitewater. He retired in 1959 from Mt. Vernon Towing Co. Blumenberg was a member of Whitewater United Methodist Church and Farm Bureau.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call today at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
