ORAN -- Funeral for Walter W.C. Temme of DeSoto, formerly of Oran, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Chapel in DeSoto. The Rev. Boytt Willis will officiate, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto.

Temme, 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.

He was born Aug. 26, 1911, at Belle, son of William and Louisa Smith Temme. He married the former Leona Samson.

Temme had been a supervisor at Hamilton Shoe Co. He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and its Men's Group, and was a Sunday School teacher 26 years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jacqueline Parmely of DeSoto; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.
