Funeral for Walter T. Sieberg of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Dr. Larry Gallamore will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Sieberg, 73, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at his home.
He was born March 19, 1925, in Percy, Ill., son of Walter H. and Julia B. VanAusdoll Sieberg. He and Lillian Mae Wallace were married Jan. 20, 1946, at Sikeston. She died Jan. 28, 1997.
Sieberg was a 1942 graduate of Central High School. He worked at the cement plant 34 years, retiring as quarry supervisor with Lone Star in March 1987. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, W. Tom Sieberg Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Randy Sieberg of Columbia; three daughters, Cheryl Rowe of Columbia, Pam Seal and Heather Sieberg of Cape Girardeau; a brother, George Sieberg of Arnold; three sisters, Julia Brecheen of Amarillo, Texas, Helen Schrum of Cape Girardeau, Rosalee Wedul of Thief River Falls, Minn.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
