Walter H. "Walt" Reynolds, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1927, in Reynoldsville, Illinois, to John and Viola Meisenheimer Reynolds. He and Lea M. Goodman were married March 31, 1956, at Cape Girardeau.
Walt served in the Army Air Force from Jan. 31, 1946, to July 30, 1947.
He was a truck driver for Fisher Auto Parts more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lea M. Reynolds of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jack (Dolores) Reynolds of Reynoldsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a half brother and two half sisters.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Missouri Honors Team at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
