FESTUS, Mo. Walter R. Drissell, 86, of Crystal City, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1993, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City.
He was born Dec. 17, 1906, at Crystal City, son of Henry Mike and Bertha Zickendrath Drissell.
He married Letha Mitts Drissell.
Drissell worked as a machinist at PPG Industries. He was a volunteer firefighter in Crystal City for 54 years.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Festus and the Twin City Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Brian A. Drissell of Parker, Colo.; a daughter, Nancy J. Renfrow of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lillie Mooney of Festus, Mo.,; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today at the Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. At 8 p.m. today, personnel of the Crystal City Fire Department will conduct a memorial service.
Other services will be private.
