Walter Palmer
WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Walter Cletus Palmer, 75, of Wolf Lake died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 29, 1933, in Union County, son of Leonard and Louise Kelso Palmer.
Palmer served in the U.S. Air Force.
He worked many years at Trojan Powder Co., was a carpenter and painter and had worked at Shawnee High School.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Wilson of Wolf Lake, Audrey Palmer of Goreville, Ill., Betsy Hess of Anna, Ill.; a son, Cletus Palmer of Goreville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Wednesday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Davy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
