ORAN -- Walter F. "Jack" Masters Sr., 81, died Sunday, July 12, 1998, at his home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1917, at Marquand, son of Henry and Ollie Dudley Masters.
Masters was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a retired shoe cutter for the Florsheim Shoe Co. at Chaffee.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Masters of Dayton, Tenn., and Randy J. Masters of League City, Texas; three brothers, William A. Masters of Chico, Calif., Homer Masters of St. Louis and Ora Masters of Gordonville; four sisters, Mary Kielhofner of Jackson, Hazel Allen of Cape Girardeau, and Nellie Plumb and Pauline Green, both of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Ed Carter will officiate, with burial in Friend Cemetery in Oran.
