BERTRAND -- Walter H. Lee, 60, of Bertrand died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born July 14, 1939, in Tupelo, Miss., son of Finis and Minnie Hankins Lee. He and Rosie Ellen Gribble were married July 9, 1957.
Lee was a retired assembly line worker with General Motors Corp., having worked in St. Louis and in Bowling Green, Ky.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Claude Lee of Columbia, Ill., Johnny Lee of Bowling Green, Bobby Lee of Bertrand; a daughter, Mary Lambert of Dupo, Ill.; his mother of Sikeston; and a brother, Charlie Lee of Davenport, Fla.
Also surviving are six sisters, Florine Ellis and Katie Pearce of Davenport, Martha Rose and Gaither Luber of Lake Wells, Fla., Linda Jordan of Sikeston, Carolyn Penson of Dexter; two grandchildren; and a stepgrandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Herring officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
