WALTER L. MUENCH

PERRYVILLE -- Walter L. Muench, 77, of Perryville, died Friday, June 17, 1994, at the Aspen Forest Care Center in Perryville.

He was born Jan. 13, 1917, in Perry County, son of William and Hedwig Buettner Muench.

He married Madeline Mecker, Oct. 12, 1957.

Muench was a retired farmer.

He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville and the Immanuel Dart Ball League.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Diane Dowdey of Florissant, Joyce Schweikert of Fairfield, Ohio; a step-son, Eric Seibel of Perryville; a stepdaughter, Kathryn Gorthy of Silver City, N.M.; two sisters, Meta Brueckner of Perryville, Thelma Schmidt of Altenburg; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, and from 6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
