Walter J. Huter, 82, 3007 Themis, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 28, 1909, near Burfordville, son of August C. and Caroline Kamp Huter. He and Cora Bodenstein were married June 1, 1935.
Huter lived on a farm from 1945 until moving to Jackson in 1976, and then to Cape Girardeau in 1987. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and former member of Cape County Shipping Association.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold Huter of Merced, Calif., Larry Huter of Sparta, Ill.; a daughter, LaVonne Huter of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Alvin Huter of Nampa, Idaho; a sister, Wilma Ross of Scott City; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dell Crockett will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
