Walter H. Stoll, 85, 2712 Bloomfield Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born July 8, 1906, in Cape Girardeau, son of Louis H. and Amelia Foeste Stoll. He first married Esther Russell Dalton March 29, 1927. She died Oct. 11, 1961. He then married Clara Frank Propst Jan. 19, 1963.
Stoll was in the dairy business all his life. He was a member and voting member of Hanover Lutheran Church, member of its Men's Club, and was a sexton of the church cemetery many years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Walter Stoll of Festus, Ted Dalton of Ocala, Fla.; five daughters, Rose Kayser of Granite City, Ill., Ann Link of Fall Church, Va., Dorothy Newman of Kennett, Edna Tedrick and Laura Hancock of Deltona, Fla.; a brother, Ralph Stoll of Annapolis, Md.; a sister, Alma Schonhoff of Cape Girardeau; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four daughters, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hanover Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
