PERRYVILLE -- Wallace F. Weiss, 86, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, in St. Louis. He was born Aug. 28, 1911, in Perry County, son of Louis Charles and Mary Helen Behrle Weiss. He and Iola Frances Brown were married May 20, 1940. Weiss retired as a sole trimmer at International Shoe Co. He also operated a radio and television sales and repair service, and was a maintenance worker at Perry County Memorial Hospital...

PERRYVILLE -- Wallace F. Weiss, 86, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, in St. Louis.

He was born Aug. 28, 1911, in Perry County, son of Louis Charles and Mary Helen Behrle Weiss. He and Iola Frances Brown were married May 20, 1940.

Weiss retired as a sole trimmer at International Shoe Co. He also operated a radio and television sales and repair service, and was a maintenance worker at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church. He had been active in Boy Scouting, and had served as assistant scoutmaster and scoutmaster of Troop 56.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Weiss of St. Louis, Dr. James Weiss of Jefferson City; a daughter, Mary Rutledge of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9:40 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
