ALTENBURG -- Funeral service for Waldemar R. "Wally" Koeberl of Altenburg will be held at 10 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Willard Kassulke will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg from 6:30-8:30 a.m. today.
Koeberl, 78, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, in a farm tractor accident.
He was born Aug. 16, 1918, at Altenburg, son of Frank and Hulda Petzoldt Koeberl. He and Irma M. Koenig were married Nov. 8, 1942. She died March 5, 1994.
Koeberl was a farmer, auto mechanic, and mill worker at East Perry Lumber Co. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Miesner of Perryville, Jane Koeberl of Jackson; three sons, Kenneth Koeberl of Perryville, Ralph and William Koeberl of Frohna; two brothers, Edgar Koeberl of Clarksville, Tenn., Ruben Koeberl of Perryville; three sisters, Monica Oberndorfer of Cape Girardeau, Vera Hecht of Jackson, Ora Martin of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
