CHAFFEE -- Von Haney, 61, of Chaffee died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 6, 1935, in Plant City, Fla., son of Virgil Lee and Elvirdia Ditto Haney Sr. Haney was a retired executive manager with Xerox Corp. in Rochester, N.Y. CHAFFEE -- Von Haney, 61, of Chaffee died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 6, 1935, in Plant City, Fla., son of Virgil Lee and Elvirdia Ditto Haney Sr.

Haney was a retired executive manager with Xerox Corp. in Rochester, N.Y. He was a member of Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include a daughter, Jill Menz of Scott City; two brothers, Melton "Jack" Haney of Scott City, Virgil Haney Jr. of Chaffee; two sisters, Anna Kurley of Plainfield, Ill., Juanita McClain of Chaffee; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
