Vivian "Cheryl Ann" Sims, 56, of Jackson passed away at her home July 25, 2015. She was born in Santa Ana, California, on Oct. 29, 1958, to Billy James and Verla Dean Eskew Reel.
She and Chuck Sims Jr. were married on Aug 27, 1988, at Harmony Church near Marble Hill, Missouri. He survives.
She retired after 29 years from working at the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center as a financial administrative assistant.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four children, Christopher (Beth) Garcia of Magee, Mississippi, Brandi (Robert) Ackman of Patton, Missouri, Angelique (Jason) Henson of Glen Allen, Missouri, and Joshua Garcia (Susie Smith) of Marble Hill, and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jamey Hovis officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery near Scopus, Missouri.
