MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Lerley Vivian Russell, 77, of Morehouse died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Oct. 14, 1923, in Corinth, Miss., daughter of William Hardy and Mary Elizabeth Shelton Parish. She married Clifford Russell, who died Feb. 12, 1973.
Russell was a cook 17 years at Green Meadows Retirement Home.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford Russell Jr. of Cartersville, Ga., Danny Russell of Benton, Mo.; a stepson, Mike Russell of Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Junior Parish of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters, Doris Moore of Blytheville, Clara Haney of Memphis, Tenn.; a friend, Kenneth Stephens of Morehouse; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo., from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories at Sikeston.
