JACKSON -- Funeral service for Vivian Leona Straedey of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Cecil Barham and Carl Cureton will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to service time.
Straedey, 42, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 10, 1953, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Karl and Bonnie Lackey Lipe. She and Paul Straedey were married Sept. 3, 1976.
Straedey graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1975. She was microbiology lab supervisor at Madison County Memorial Hospital from 1975-88, and had worked at St. Francis Medical Center since 1988.
She was a member of Eastern Star Lodge at Fredericktown, and attended Bethel Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Nicholas Straedey of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Straedey of the home; her mother of Fredericktown, and a sister, Shirley Mitchell of Fredericktown.
