VIVIAN BROWN

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Vivian L. Brown, 75, of East Prairie died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born March 7, 1925, in Mississippi County, daughter of Kilmer and Agnes Cooper Matthews. She and Charles W. Brown were married May 13, 1939. He died March 4, 1974.

Brown had lived in Mississippi County all her life.

Survivors include three sons, David and Larry Brown of East Prairie, Charles Brown of Gideon; six daughters, Patricia Vance, Carolyn Linley, Joyce Branam, Susie Moore and Martha Brown, all of East Prairie, Cheryl McCutchen of Benton; a brother, J.E. Matthews of East Prairie; two sisters, Ruth Myers of DuQuoin, Ill., Magdalene Manning of East Prairie; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Raymond Linley officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
