Virgle Moran

Virgle Moran, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Moark, Ark., to Loyd and Lena Langsdale Moran. He and Ruth O. Inks were married June 25, 1946, at Marthasville, Mo. She preceded him in death March 21, 2007.

Virgle served in the Coast Guard.

He had been a member of VFW Post 3838 and Teamsters Union.

Survivors include four sons, Gary Moran of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Ronald Moran of Louisiana, Michael Moran of North Carolina, Patrick Moran of Missouri; a sister, Bernice Blass of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Rothenberger officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
