Virginia Jean Wilson, 87, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.
She was born Jan. 7, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leo Albert and Catherine Anastasia Cambron Brennecke. She and Robert Smith Wilson were married March 12, 1938, in Jackson. He died June 25, 2002.
Wilson was a 1935 graduate of Cape Girardeau High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
She was a secretary with Missouri Secretary of State's office, Missouri Senate and Missouri Department of Agriculture, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Jacquelyn and Donald Farmer and Catherine and James Bauer, all of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Shawn Farmer, Jill Quick, Jason Bauer and Bradley Bauer; three great-grandchildren, Max Roberts, Mollie Quick and Blake Bauer; and a sister, Rosemary Davis of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Brennecke, and a sister, Katherine Kinder.
Private service will be held at 9 a.m. today at St. Joseph Home for the Aged, with the Rev. James Smith officiating.
