VIRGINIA WELCH

Funeral for Virginia Welch, formerly of Cape Girardeau, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home in Farmington, Mo. Dr. David Webster will officiate. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Farmington.

Welch, 84, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, in Farmington.

She was born Sept. 3, 1916, in St. Francois County, Mo., daughter of William and Cordelia Woods. She married Virgil W. Welch, who died in 1993.

Welch was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Survivors include a son, Wesley Welch of Farmington; a daughter, Janet Komorech of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters and a brother.
