VIRGINIA STATLER

PERRYVILLE -- Virginia Averil Statler, 56, of Perryville, died Wednesday, May 22, 1996, at her home.

She was born Sept. 18, 1939, at Perryville, daughter of Chester F. and Elsie Stout Horn. He and Richard L. Statler were married Oct. 11, 1958.

Statler had been a nurse's aide in local nursing homes. She was a member of Whitewater Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Yates of Mill Spring, Sheila Birk of Perryville; two sons, Gregory and Roger Statler of Perryville; a brother, Willis Horn of Perryville; four sisters, Opal Patterson of Bolivar, Ruby Clayton of Sedgewickville, Ioma Denton of Libby, Mont., Ruth Melton of Perryville, and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitewater Church, with the Rev. Malcom Martin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
