ST. LOUIS — Virginia R. "Ginny" Obergoenner, 82, of St. Louis died Saturday, March 21, 2009.
She was born May 7, 1926, in Vandalia, Ill., daughter of Harold Thomas and Hazel Lawson Emerick. She married Vernon R. Obergoenner. He preceded her in death.
She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Chapel and Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Meyr of St. Louis and Janice Obergoenner of Jackson; a son, Donald Obergoenner of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Phyllis Bolle, of Fenton, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, South County, St. Louis.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
