Virginia Miller

GODFREY, Ill. � Virginia Ann Miller, 85, of Godfrey, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Rosewood Care Center in Alton, Illinois.

She was born May 20, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Walter A. and Frieda E. Sanders Eifert. She married Francis E. Miller on Sept. 4, 1950, in Scott City. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 2014.

Virginia worked as a clerk and presser at Band Box Cleaners in Edwardsville, Illinois.

She is survived by two sons, Walter (Geri) Miller of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and Michael (Michelle) Miller of Godfrey; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
