MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Virginia Lucille Miles, 92, of Marble Hill departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at the age of 92.
She was born March 27, 1919, in Christopher, Ill., to Samuel C. and Nola Ruby Jackson Glassford. Virginia and Logan Andrew Miles were married Aug. 26, 1940. He passed away Dec. 3, 1988.
Virginia was a member of Little Valley Independent Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Douglas (Thelma) Miles of Marble Hill; a brother, Virgil Glassford of Kankakee, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jeff (Tamara) Miles, Jimmie (Vicky) Miles, Jill (Justin) Long; seven great-grandchildren, Codey, Brooke, Samantha, Chet and Mallorie Miles, Logan and Roland Long.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Aaron Allen and T.J. Null officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
