VIRGINIA MARIE JOHNSON
CHAFFEE -- Virginia Marie Johnson, 75, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Chaffee, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. She was born Nov. 22, 1920, at Chaffee, daughter of George Smiley and Iva Mae Darrell Smiley. She married Claude Kenneth Johnson Nov. 24, 1940. He died Oct. 15, 1982...
CHAFFEE -- Virginia Marie Johnson, 75, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Chaffee, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
She was born Nov. 22, 1920, at Chaffee, daughter of George Smiley and Iva Mae Darrell Smiley.
She married Claude Kenneth Johnson Nov. 24, 1940. He died Oct. 15, 1982.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Chaffee, Chaffee Eastern Star 48, and the Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo. She moved to Amarillo in 1968.

She is survived by two sons, John Johnson of Amarillo, and Billy Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Juanita Cruse of Springfield, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Rev. Nancy Woods officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
