Virginia Claire Hockman, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 1, 2005, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Saturday, Jan. 3, 1925 in Noble, Ill., the daughter of Hayes and Laura Daggy Rawlings. She and Bill E. Hockman were married Dec. 21, 1946, in Henderson, Ky.
She graduated from Noble High School. She was a member of First Christian Church and PEO Chapter JN. She was a Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary volunteer several years.
Mrs. Hockman had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1970 after living in Farmington, Mo., for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Angela Beck of Jackson; a brother, Bill Rawlings of Olney, Ill.; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Laura Beck and Jebb Lauinger of Little River, S.C.; and a grandson, Jeffrey Beck of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford andSons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodger Kiepe officiating.
Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or Southeast Hospice.
