VIRGINIA HEUER

Funeral for Virginia L. Heuer of Rockford, Ill., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Ray McCain will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Fitzgerald and Associates Funeral Home Mulford Chapel in Rockford is in charge of arrangements.

Heuer, 74, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Northwoods Health Care Center in Belvidere, Ill.

She was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Werner C. and Zetta Unger Mehrle. She and Robert W. Heuer were married Sept. 22, 1945, in Cape Girardeau.

Heuer had lived in Rockford since 1951. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Brian Heuer of Rockford; a daughter, Kelli Preston of Lexington, Ky.; five sisters, Edith Eggers of Cape Girardeau, Mary Lamb of LaCenter, Ky., Margaret Stroder of De Soto, Mo., Alice Robertson of Poteau, Okla., Carolyn Ragsdale of Garland, Texas; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
