Virginia Henson

Virginia "Jennie" Henson of Jackson died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in West Eminence, Mo., daughter of Charles Vincent and Alma Clara Atkins Spaulding. She and Don Henson were married Dec. 3, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He died Dec. 19, 1986.

Henson was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Saundra Hamilton of Jackson; a son, Skip Brock of Farmington, Mo.; three sisters, Rusty Klamen of St. Louis, Patsy Colvin of Fruitland, JoAnn Jennings of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Roger Spaulding of Arnold, Mo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
