Virginia "Jenny" Cotner, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at her residence. She was born June 20, 1939, in Oriole, Mo., daughter of Chester F. Cotner and Hannah Virginia Rumfelt Cotner. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, and worked in the bakery department at Del Farm for 24 years before retiring in 1995...

Virginia "Jenny" Cotner, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at her residence.

She was born June 20, 1939, in Oriole, Mo., daughter of Chester F. Cotner and Hannah Virginia Rumfelt Cotner.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, and worked in the bakery department at Del Farm for 24 years before retiring in 1995.

Survivors include her parents, Chester F. Cotner of Troy, Mo., and Hannah Virginia Cotner of Cape Girardeau; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian Keith and Karen R. Jones of Jackson; two brothers, David Cotner of Cape Girardeau, Stephen Cotner of St. Louis; three sisters, Judith Welsh of Goliad, Texas, Deborah Cotner and Vicki Zickfield of Cape Girardeau.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Rachel R. Laschanzky, Ashley D. Jones, Melissa A. Jones; two great-grandchildren, Xavier C. Laschanzky, Christian D. Jones; two nieces, Katie Cotner and Wendi Zickfield; six nephews, Zachary Cotner, Randy Bowers, Tracy Welsh, David Likens, Cody Cotner and William Zickfield.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Burial will be in High Hill Cemetery in Neely's Landing, Mo.

Pallbearers will be David Likens, Brian Jones, William Zickfield, Tracy Welsh, Cody Cotner, Kent Zickfield. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran School building fund.
