GREENVILLE -- Virgil Marler, 80, of Greenville died Friday, April 23, 1999, at his home.
Marler was born March 31, 1919, at Kime. He and Lorene Williams were married March 12, 1938. She preceded him in death. Marler attended the Kime General Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Betty F. Goodman and Kathy Marler, both of Cape Girardeau; four sons, Bill Marler, Dewayne Marler, Lavern Marler and Leon Marler, all of Greenville; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Leslie Burchard officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Chapel Cemetery.
