SCOTT CITY -- Virgil J. Kohr, 84, of Scott City, died Sunday, April 21, 1996, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 10, 1912, at Kimmswick, son of Jacob and Margaret Zeruba Kohr. He married the former Gertrude S. Crider.
Kohr was a brewer with Anheuser-Busch a number of years. He was a member of Fenton Masonic Lodge 281 AF&AM and Scott City Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mel Kohr of Manchester, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heiligtag Funeral Home in Arnold. Pastor Dennis Schmidt will officiate, with burial in Burgess Cemetery at Barnhart.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. to service time. A Masonic service will be held at noon.
