ANNA, Ill. -- Virgie Lucille Shipley, 85, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at Union County Hospital.

She was born March 5, 1914, in Houston, Ind., daughter of William and Elizabeth Taylor Tidd.

Shipley worked in the housekeeping department at Union County Hospital many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Knowles of Anna, Alice Frick of Jonesboro; three sons, James Shipley of Jonesboro, Robert and Donald Shipley of Anna; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
