VIRGIE M. WORLEY

SIKESTON -- Virgie M. Worley, 90, of Sikeston, died Thursday, July 14, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 25, 1903, in Waterloo, Ala., daughter of Andy and Doty Isley Deshazier. She and Tony Andrew Worley were married in December 1917 in Savannah, Tenn. He died in March 1970.

Worley was a cook and waitress at Daugherty's Restaurant, and member of Bement Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Brown Worley of Sikeston, Delmar Worley of Hayes, Va., Ted Worley of Sikeston; four daughters, Grace Deshazier of Savannah, Louise Kellis and Anne Webb of Sikeston, Betty Underwood of Dexter; two sisters, Mae Hopper of Morley, Lennie Anderson of Savannah; 26 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother, sister and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
