JACKSON -- Virgia M. Kamp, 83, of the Jackson Manor, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, May 1, 1993, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 20, 1909, at Sedgewickville, daughter of Louis and Emma Conrad Statler.
She married Otto A. Kamp, Oct. 29, 1938, at St. Louis.
Kamp worked as a secretary at the International Shoe Factory in Jackson and at the Dearmont and Russell law firm in Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Poplar Bluff, the VFW Auxiliary in Poplar Bluff and was an active volunteer at the Veterans Home in Poplar Bluff.
She attended the Latimer Business College in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Lester A. Statler and Hirschel Statler, both of Jackson; and two sisters Nola Clingingsmith and Mysie Keene, both of Jackson;
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. Monday at the McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson, with the Rev. Gerald Wittmaier officiating.
Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
