VIREDA MCDONALD

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Vireda McDonald of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. McDonald, 82, died Saturday. June 21, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 22, 1915, at Matthews, daughter of William and Martha Jane Burroughs Latham. She and Olen A. McDonald were married June 11, 1935. He died March 8, 1990...

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Vireda McDonald of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

McDonald, 82, died Saturday. June 21, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 22, 1915, at Matthews, daughter of William and Martha Jane Burroughs Latham. She and Olen A. McDonald were married June 11, 1935. He died March 8, 1990.

McDonald owned and operated McDonald's Dress Shop in Sikeston and Dexter 30 years. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Gary McDonald of Manchester, Terry McDonald of Columbia; two sisters, Ruby Love of Castro Valley, Calif., Evelean Crowell of Dexter; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
