ADVANCE, Mo. -- Violet R. Nanney, 69, of Advance died Saturday, June 5, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 10, 1934, at Randles, daughter of Walter and Annie Wallis McCormick. She and Cecil Nanney were married Feb. 21, 1953, at Marble Hill, Mo.
She was a nurse aide at various nursing homes and had worked at the Bollinger County courthouse for many years.
Survivors include her husband and three children she raised, Jason, Alex and Whitney Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
