BIEHLE -- Violet M. Hotop, 77, of Biehle, died Monday, May 27, 1996, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Dec. 22, 1918, in St. Louis, daughter of John and Julia Trapp Snyder. BIEHLE -- Violet M. Hotop, 77, of Biehle, died Monday, May 27, 1996, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 22, 1918, in St. Louis, daughter of John and Julia Trapp Snyder. She and Julius E. Hotop were married Nov. 27, 1937, at Biehle.

Hotop was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Patricia Meyer, Kathleen "Katy" Ruesler and Joan Hotop of Perryville, Agnes Farrar of Imperial, Theresa "Tess" Miller of Frohna; three sons, Bernard, Thomas and James Hotop, all of Perryville; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and three stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 a.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Maurus Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
