VIOLET HANNA WADDLE

CHAFFEE--Violet Hanna Waddle, 85, of Chaffee died Saturday, June 10, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 13, 1910, at Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Wallace Thaddus and Nettie Agnes Montgomery Mansker. She married John Hanna in 1930. He preceded her in death in 1979. She and Cecil Waddle were married on Oct. 10, 1981. He also preceded her in death.

Waddle owned and operated the Hanna Grocery Store in Chaffee for 20 years. She also worked for 25 years at the Buckstein Parts Factory in Chaffee. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include a stepson, Jerry Waddle of Dexter; a daughter, Avis Jean Wolfe of Chaffee; a brother, Lee Mansker of Sheboygan, Wis.; a sister, Dorothy Wolfe of Chaffee; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a step great-great grandson.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a great-granddaughter.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Nancy Woods will officiate, and burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
