VIOLET FRICKE

PERRYVILLE -- Graveside service for Violet L. Fricke of Perryville will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville, Ill. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate.

Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville is in charge of arrangements.

Fricke, 90, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Perry Oaks Nursing Home.

She was born May 27, 1909, in Pinckneyville, daughter of John H. and Minta Claud Crain Krug. She and William H. Fricke were married Dec. 12, 1925, in Granite City, Ill. He died Sept. 1, 1984.

Fricke was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine Guenther of Jackson, Wanda Wheeler of Pinckneyville, Mable Steckenrider of Raleigh, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
