Viola “Vi” Stovall went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Vi was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Cape Girardeau. She was the daughter of William and Beulah Foeste. Vi married James F. Stovall on Sept. 1, 1941, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Vi with her husband, Jim, owned and operated Superior Concretors. Jim and Vi were charter and founding members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, James II (Amy) Stovall; and grandchildren, Christy (Ron) Brooks of Dallas and Randy (Sarah) Stovall of Loves Park, Illinois. Vi also was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Sam, Jack and Eleri Brooks and Reese, Paige, Finn and Eve Stovall. Additionally, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Vi was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Clyde Foeste; and two sisters, Helen Sewing and Dorothy Gloth.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Martin will officiate, with burial at Cape County Memorial Park.
