SIKESTON -- Viola Taylor, 66, of Sikeston died Thursday, July 4, 1996, at her home.
She was born Oct. 11, 1929, in Thornton, Miss., to Y.T. Green and Martha Foreman Green.
On Sept. 19, 1955, she married James Taylor, who died in 1972.
She moved to Bell City in 1952 and to Sikeston in 1972.
She was a member of the Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Sikeston and served on the Mother Board.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Evelyn Rencher of Woodridge, Ill.; three sons, Aaron Gaston and James A. Green of St. Louis and Willis B. Green of Sikeston; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston from noon until 2 p.m. Service will follow at the church with James A. Green officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
