PATTON -- Viola Seabaugh, 85, of Torrance, Calif., died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996, in Torrance.
She was born Sept. 3, 1911, at Patton, daughter of Frederick Monroe and Elva Mayfield Devenport. She and Wilberd Shell Seabaugh were married Dec. 4, 1927.
Seabaugh had lived in St. Louis, Tilsit, Patton, Jackson, Bloomfield, and Ada, Okla., before moving to Torrance in 1956.
She was cafeteria manager at Redondo Beach High School, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Survivors include her husband; a son, W. Keith Seabaugh of Jackson; three daughters, Sonja Petras of Montclair, Calif., Brenda Strauch of Torrance, Sharon Myrgold Thompson of Manhattan Beach; two brothers, Harold Devenport of Columbia, Ill., Darrel Devenport of Marble Hill; a sister, Iola Newton of Florissant; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and a grandchild.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
