Mrs. Viola L. Brennac age 85 of Jackson passed away at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau Thursday, March 5, 1998.
She was born Sept. 6, 1912 in Washington, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Magdelena (Kraemer) Lohmeyer, Sr.
Mrs. Brennac moved to Jackson, MO in 1984 from Washington, MO and for the past three years she has resided at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She retired from Union Electric in 1977 where she had worked for 37 years. She also had worked for the Brown Shoe Co. for 10 years.
She was Baptized and Confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington where she had been active as a Sunday School teacher, member of the Ladies Aid and LWML.She transferred her church membership to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson in 1984 and became an active church member in various church groups.
Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Ken and Mary Peters of Jackson; one brother, Frank Lohmeyer of Washington, MO; two granddaughters: Mary Kay (Michael) Hecht of Jackson and Mindy Peters of St. Louis; two grandsons, Michael (Kim) Peters of Ballwin, MO, CPL Matt (Devlin) Peters of San Angelo, TX; two great granddaughters, Lauren and Jordan Hecht of Jackson; one brother-in-law, Eskel Jones of Washington, MO. She was preceded by one sister, Mildred Jones.
Visitation will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Washington, MO from 1-2 p.m. Saturday. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Bangert officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
McCombs Funeral Home of Jackson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Washington, MO, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Jackson are the Lutheran Home of Cape Girardeau.
