OAK RIDGE -- Funeral for Viola A. Dunwell of Oak Ridge will be held at 7 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Paul Short will officiate.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Pontiac Cemetery in Pontiac, Mo., with the Rev. David Burge officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. today.
Dunwell, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 22, 1910, at Uniontown, daughter of Heinrick Benjamin and Katharina Schumacher Brandes. She married Charles A. Dunwell July 4, 1935. He died Sept. 2, 1984.
The Dunwells lived in Gainesville, Mo., 23 years. She was a secretary at Mobil Oil Co. in St. Louis 30 years, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include a sister, Lilly Lueders of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
